Renault at the French GP

In the grandstands last Sunday, 6000 fans in blue and yellow, waving 3000 flags, made their allegiances clear to the watching world! 35 coaches packed with fans converged on Magny-Cours from Renault’s different sites around France, and 2000 special parking bays meant Renault’s personnel could enjoy the centenary French Grand Prix in comfort. 150 VIP guests enjoyed the hospitality in the Paddock Club and Renault Suite at this race.

Renault also made special provisions for the fans outside the circuit. The world champion R25 was on display, and trophies won in 2005 – including the constructors’ trophy – took pride of place in a zone dedicated to last year’s historic title success.

What’s more, a special 2005 F1 clip – and the roaring sound of the new V8 RS26 engine – meant the supporters were right at the heart of the action from the moment they entered.

The display also made clear the links between F1 and the Renault Group’s road-going products: the Clio Renault Sport, Megane Renault Sport and Megane F1 Team limited edition were all on display.

Fun activities such as the pitstop challenge, simulators radio-controlled F1 cars and a full garage exhibit kept every fan, young and old, enthralled.
