To test or not to test?

Midland F1 Racing denies the accusations of the other teams that it would have tested in secret, though all teams have signed the test agreement. Last Thursday, Adrian Sutil drove at Elvington Airfield in Yorkshire. The German drove 328 km in his M16.

Some of the other teams are mad at Midland for testing during the summer break. All the teams signed a test agreement that they wouldn't test from the Hungarian GP till the Italian GP and since Sutil drove 328 km, the other teams rule this as test.

According to Midland's Chief Engineer, Dominic Harlow, it was an "aerodynamic test". Harlow cited the test agreement for 2006: "Clause D makes it possible to test on a straight for 12 days, outside of the limitations that go under clause A."

Clause A says that there the teams aren't allowed to test between the Hungarian and the Italian Grand Prix.

If it really was an aerodynamic test, it would be allowed according to the test agreement.
