F1 personnel attacked
Yesterday, a car with Formula One personnel was attacked when they were driving from the Interlagos Circuit to their hotel in the center of Sao Paulo. The media staff of the Toyota Formula One team could escape unharmed, but several shots were fired.
Fernanda Villa-Boas de Mello, Toyota's spokesperson, told PA Sport in Sao Paulo: "They would not have known there were Toyota personnel inside the car as it has blacked-out windows. One person tried to kick in a window, and then there were shots fired. He didn't want to shoot us, he just wanted to rob us. We eventually managed to pull away. Fortunately nobody was hurt."
