Wet tyre testing for Honda

By on

The Honda Racing F1 Team completed a third day of running at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia today. Overnight rain meant that the track was wet for the majority of the morning session therefore Jenson completed a long run on wet tyres before the circuit dried out. He then worked through an aero evaluation completing 56 laps.

Jenson worked on improving the mechanical set-up of the car in the afternoon session alongside the aero programme. He completed one long run before a huge downpour soaked the track once again, therefore he switched to wet tyres for a further two short runs.

Jenson covered 95 laps in total today.

As a result of the wet weather today, the test will now be extended for an extra day. Jenson will finish his planned programme tomorrow morning with Christian Klien completing the test in the afternoon.
