There are always things the team is working on - Glock

The Bahrain Grand Prix and the race at Barcelona, Spain, which represents the first European GP of the 2007 Formula One season, are split by a four-week break. Prior to the Spanish GP, Timo Glock wonders how the balance of power between the teams will evolve, admitting he expects the BMW Sauber F1 Team to make another step forward.

"Obviously, it's rather exciting, at the moment," admits Glock. "Everybody has had time to work on enhancements, hence, the balance of power could look slightly different at Barcelona. However, I don't believe we will see massive changes, I think the top teams will remain at the top. At the same time however, I'm convinced that the BMW Sauber F1 Team will move closer and closer to the podium, but we will have to wait and see if this will be the case as early as next week."

The Munich and Hinwil based squad used the four-week break to enhance the BMW Sauber F1.07. The last step of this programme was a four-day test at Barcelona, executed by Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica in an effort to eliminate potential problems. "There are always things the team is working on, particularly when it comes to the aerodynamics," adds the BMW Sauber F1 Team test driver. "At the same time, we also continue working on eliminating the gearbox problem that hampered. Therefore, many tests are repeated to make absolutely sure that everything is okay."
