I'm 100% fit - Kubica
A big relief for Robert Kubica: Following his severe accident in Montreal, the Polish driver is fit to return behind the wheel of his BMW Sauber F1.07 for the French Grand Prix in Magny-Cours this weekend.
One day prior to the start of the GP weekend at the "Circuit de Nevers", Robert was given the go-ahead to compete for the BMW Sauber F1 Team again. The 22-year-old passed the final medical examination before the race and was cleared by the doctors to enter the 13th Formula One race of the season.
"I'm 100% fit," commented Kubica. "I'm looking forward to the race and happy that I missed only Indianapolis."
"We are all happy that Robert has recovered and that he will make his return. We wish him all the best for the weekend," said BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen.
In the US Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel had replaced Robert in the BMW Sauber F1.07. In his maiden Formula One race, the test and reserve driver of the BMW Sauber F1 Team had managed to collect one World Championship point at the "Indianapolis Motor Speedway". In France, Robert returns to support the team in its attempt to consolidate third place of the Constructors' Championship.
