Tomorrow, the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Team has to appear before an extraordinary meeting of the FIA World Motor Sport Council in Paris. The Woking based team was summoned by the FIA to answer a charge that they breached article 151c of the international sporting code. The rule relates to: "any fraudulent conduct, or any act prejudicial to the interests of any competition, or to the interests of motor sport generally."

The hearing follows claims that Mike Coughlan, chief designer at McLaren, would have received confidential documents from Ferrari. If found guilty of the charge, Mclaren could be thrown out of the 2007 Championship or have points deducted.
