Even more problems for McLaren as stewards start investigation

According to autosport.com, the race stewards of the Italian GP started an investigation on McLaren as they would have been running with a new lightweight gearbox in Hungary that had not been crash tested.

In Hungary, the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Team would have used their new lightweight gearbox without a crash test. The gearbox didn't require a new crash structure than the one approved by the FIA. Still it is understood that McLaren could have breached article 16.1.2 of F1's technical regulations: "Any significant modification introduced into any of the structures tested shall require that part to pass a further test."

The new investigation comes after accusations that McLaren gained and used Ferrari-documents and the Hungary debacle.
