F1 history at legendary Montjuic

For the first time in 30 years, Formula One cars and other racing vehicles will go out on the track of Barcelona's legendary "Montjuic Park Circuit". On the occasion of the circuit's 75th birthday, a motor-racing festival will be held in Barcelona's Montjuic district.

On Saturday, 13th October, the organisers of the event are going to present an extensive selection of classic cars on the "Reina Maria Cristina Avenue", completed by background information on the races they competed in and the drivers of those days.

On the following day, a 50-car parade will drive through the "Montjuic Park". All the cars involved have contested races at the legendary circuit that represented the venue of the Spanish Grand Prix until 1975 and wasn't subjected to major changes, since then. To produce true racing atmosphere, an extraordinary effort was made: pit-lane, start and finish line as well as the grandstands take the visitors back into a time when aces such as Jackie Stewart or Emerson Fittipaldi starred on the Formula One grid.

A total of twelve classic Formula One cars will appear in Barcelona. In addition, sports prototypes and GT cars are also going to lap the famous Mediterranean street circuit.
