Rally of Dakar cancelled
The 2008 Rally of Dakar, which was scheduled to start in Portugal's Capital City Lisbon on Saturday, has been cancelled. The terror threat is too big and the organisers don't want to take any risks. At 1PM, the organisers will launch an official statement and it's believed that they will confirm the cancellation of the Rally.
France TV announced today that the Dakar Rally has been cancelled over security concerns in Mauritania where four French tourists were killed last month.
