Ferrari no fan of radical cost-cutting plans
It appears that Ferrari was the only team that didn't agree with the radical cost-cutting plans of FIA President, Max Mosley. The F1 bosses met with Mosley in Paris on Friday to talk about the details of the cost-cutting measures. As the teams and Mosley didn't come to an agreement, a new meeting will be scheduled this month to settle the details.
According to the German newspaper 'Bild', Max Mosley wants that the F1 teams only spent 150 million dollar, as upper limit, on the development of the cars. At the moment there are teams with budgets over 300 million dollar a season.
Mercedes Boss Norbert Haug does not have problems with the new proposals of Mosley: "Mercedes Benz welcomes each meaningful measure for cost reduction."
Ferrari does not agree with their rivals at McLaren. A spokesperson of Ferrari said: "There will be further discussions on the topic, that is very important for F1."
