Mutua Madrilena follows Alonso to Renault
After some confusion, it is official that 'Mutua Madrilena' has ended its sponsorship agreement with McLaren. The company follows Fernando Alonso to Renault. The Spanish insurance company earlier declared that they would no longer sponsor McLaren, but during the launch of the MP4-23 at Stuttgart, the logo of Mutua Madrilena was still on the overalls of the drivers.
According to the Spanish newspaper 'Dario AS', the insurance company had problems to get out of the long-term agreement with McLaren, but it seems that all the problems have past now as a contract with Renault would have already been signed. The newspaper reports that the contract between Mutua Madrilena and Renault would be worth €8 million.
