It's better Alonso is driving for the French team - Massa

Ferrari driver Felipe Massa is happier that rival Fernando Alonso is in a Renault rather than a McLaren this season. Massa believes that with Alonso's switch to the French outfit, the title battle will become a three-way fight between himself, Raikkonen and Hamilton.

At a press conference in Brazil, Massa said: "My main rivals will be Kimi and Hamilton. If you have to take on Alonso it's better that he's driving for the French team than McLaren because it seems to me that Renault aren't at the same level as McLaren."

On 16 March, the new season kicks-off at Melbourne and Massa sees no reason why he would not be one of the potential winners of the opening Grand Prix.

"Ferrari has managed to construct a really great car for this season, ironing out the weak points of the one we used last year. All my pre-season performances indicate that I've got a car capable of allowing me to fight for victory."
