Scuderia Ferrari in crisis

After another second-rate performance from the Scuderia Ferrari, the team seem to be in a crisis. Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo personally chaired the post-race debrief at the team's headquarters in Maranello yesterday.

Di Montezemolo declared in the Italian newspaper 'Gazzetta dello Sport': "We need to understand why we were slower in Germany as never before this year."

Felipe Massa finished the German Grand Prix in third place, but team mate and World Champion Kimi Raikkonen only came in 6th. Lewis Hamilton now leads the championship standings with 58 points while Felipe Massa is second with 54 points and Kimi Raikkonen third with 51 points.

After some horrific performances of the 'so great' Ferrari, rumours about a possible retirement of Raikkonen at the end of the season are never far away.
