Blue flag for Lewis....
Good to see someone can still see it for what it is. I do judge it a racing incident, but with mainly Max to blame. Like Silverstone was a racing incident with mainly Lewis to blame.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 17:23Silverstone it was Lewis' fault. This one I got to say Max was at fault. Hamilton squeezed him but that corner does not have room to give even if Lewis tried to avoid. I do think the outcome of the race considering the starting grid, RBR and Max should be disappointed . Max should have led from the start and never looked back.
What Max said on the radio after betrayed his anger at events prior which in turn made him desperate. I think he will serve a penalty.
completely agreeHammerfist wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 17:45Ricciardo had a chance to challenge Max yesterday in the sprint race and decided to back out of it with him later explaining there is no room for 2 cars at turn 2. Verstappen fully knows this but he went for the move anyway. Deserves a 3 to 5 grid drop for the next race. The guy never races fairly. I’m just so sick of it.
That means they think Max is bang to rightsTvetovnato wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 17:43I cannot believe what I am reading. For the first time, BOTH Marko and Horner says it was a racing indicent when Max is involved.
I like your username! Those who know. Know.Gothrek wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 16:52Pretty obvious this was going to happen. Last time Hamilton kicked Verstappen out of the race, so now he gets payback.
Both of them showing the other they will commit and are not afraid. Good for the show though.
On the incident itself, looks like racing incident to me. Both could have avoided it.
Not specifically related to engines but their is this in the sporting rules.RonMexico wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 17:35Is there a precedent for that situation or a specific rule?dans79 wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 17:34If a team decided to replace an entire engine they automatically are going to the back of the grid. If you do that at the same race you had a grid penalty, you would effectively be nullifying the grid penalty. The FIA isn't going to allow that they will give you the grid penalty at the next race then.
basically if you get penalized, the fia is going to make sure you feel the pain of it.If any of the four (4) penalties above are imposed upon a driver, and that driver is unable to
serve the penalty due to retirement from the sprint qualifying session or the race, the stewards
may impose a grid place penalty on the driver at his next race Even
And that alone says it all.Tvetovnato wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 17:43I cannot believe what I am reading. For the first time, BOTH Marko and Horner says it was a racing indicent when Max is involved.
It's a bit of a stretch to compare the two as identical, Hamilton went off the racing line to squeeze Verstappen. He delayed his turn in and wasn't close to the apexJust_a_fan wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 17:41You mean When Rosberg simply didn't turn in to the corner and tried to push Hamilton straight on and off track?
How is it similar to that?
Why would he be penalized for racing?
