Look at each cars line. Clear as day.
And that's why Max could get a penalty or a warning. instead of avoiding the curbs when he was for sure going to hit them, he just kept going.
Look at the steering angle. Zero steering angle. He was using Lewis as a bouncing barrier. I understand why though. Lewis essentially would have run away with the win and in Max's mind he had to do everything to stop him. Max is a true old school racer in that sense. Very ruthless. I like it in a sense... But it doesn't belong in today's F1.

Verstappen's sense of entitlement grows every time he isn't penalized for stuff like this.
Why would he be penalized for racing?
Please, the corner was Hamilton's.
How? If a car is "significantly alongside", it's a corner for both cars. Definitely not one car's when that car is coming from pit with colder tyres and brakes, missing the turn 1 apex.

And what is Hamilton doing to create space at the apex!? Seemingly nothing. :raises eyebrow:

PS. Brown's voice sounds a bit coarse.
Erm.. Hamilton left him space on entry, you can see Max was all four wheel into Apex 1. Then Hamilton closed the door before Apex 2. Max had enough room to survive and why would Hamilton create space for his rival anyway? Lewis was too nice if you asked me.

Did you see lap 1 turn 4? Max left no space.

Did you see Imola Lap 1? Max left no Space.

Did you see Barcelona Lap 1? Max left no space.

As can be seen clearly, HAM didn't leave a car's width for VER. :)

What a great idea the HALO was

You can see the tyre is actually on his helmet pushing his head forward. Very lucky to have the halo there.

This situation is quite similar to Austria 2016 when Rosberg and Hamilton tangled
You mean When Rosberg simply didn't turn in to the corner and tried to push Hamilton straight on and off track?

How is it similar to that? :?
It's a bit of a stretch to compare the two as identical, Hamilton went off the racing line to squeeze Verstappen. He delayed his turn in and wasn't close to the apex
Went off the racing line to squeeze Verstappen? Where was that then. When did he delay his turn in?

Quite funny that Lewis goves Max a tap, and Max ends up in hospital.

Max drives his car over Hamilton, and drives his rear wheel on Hamiltons head, Lewis shrugs it off and walks off

Halo was amazing today! =D> =D>

It's great that Ricciardo got Mclaren's first victory in the hybrid era after having a lot of struggles this season, especially given his Italian roots. Perez also had a decent race despite the 5 second penalty and held off a very fast Mercedes, likely thanks to his own new engine. Max and Lewis was unfortunate but at least nobody was hurt and both DNFed so a win-win for F1 and the Italian fans.

Ricciardo had a chance to challenge Max yesterday in the sprint race and decided to back out of it with him later explaining there is no room for 2 cars at turn 2. Verstappen fully knows this but he went for the move anyway. Deserves a 3 to 5 grid drop for the next race. The guy never races fairly. I’m just so sick of it.

Holy cow.... Wow....

The Halo definitely did its job there. Still they'll have to look into better ways of preventing a wheel from intruding into the cockpit like that.
What worries me is that we have had at least two serious accidents (Grossjean and Hamilton) recently in which the halo saved drivers health and possibly even lives. Something has changed that such severe accidents happen. Maybe the cars are too powerful after all...

The car's width rule applies when going off line to defend and then going back across to get back on to a line to enter the corner.

And if Hamilton should have left Max room here, Max should have left Hamilton room on lap 1. So either way Max was wrong. Which is it?

Going for the move when you know you won't make the corner and are certain to hit the sausage kerbs and in effect your competitor isn't racing.

I do agree with Felipe Massa. There should be no sausage kerbs in the inside of corners. Hitting them will simply launch you outwards and cause an accident. This incident would be nothing if there weren't any sausage kerbs along the apex.

Why was Max not penalised for Tamburello or Della Roggia ? He drove Lewis off the track. Please try and answer this without the usual biased bs.

Its that 'That's what you get.' comment from Verstappen. Yield to me or we will crash.

Interesting that he didn't even look back to see if Hamilton was hurt when walking off after parking his car on hid head. So much for all that stuff about showing compassion...

The whole thing is slightly chilling .
