Like I said, whatever the point of view is, the official decision need to be accepted, whether you like it or not. I would leave it here, unlike most that didn't accept the official decision in silverstone.
Should have been 5 places..El Scorchio wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 18:45Grid drop and penalty points for Verstappen.
3 places. 2 points.
They did the right thing.
Indeed. During the race, Brundle was talking about how alongside means the front axle of the car behind vs. the rear axle of the car in front.Vaexa wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 18:50The fact people here genuinely buy this ''Verstappen did it deliberately'' nonsense Hill and Herbert were paddling tells you all you need to know about the loyalties here.
I really like this paragraph from the stewards' document:
''But further, the
Stewards observed that Car 33 was not at all alongside Car 44 until significantly into
the entry into Turn 1. In the opinion of the Stewards, this manoeuvre was attempted
too late for the driver of Car 33 to have “the right to racing room”''
They must've been watching a different race today, I guess.
Yeah that guy is really amazingly badEl Scorchio wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 18:47Di Resta still arguing the point. Goodness me...
Damon Hill talking sense, even if he has walked back a little from saying it was definitely deliberate.
Now they are also addressing that Verstappen didn't even look back. Di Resta making excuses for that as well.
Hamilton inquired on the radio right after, about Max's well-being. You guys labelled it as lip service.
Your understanding of how the chicane works is the weirdest one I have seen yet. So how do you explain Lap 1 turn four? And Imola Lap 1? I know you won't change your view, but I really am curious .JordanMugen wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 18:46Hmm, curious.
I would say incorrect, but oh well no big deal.
I imagine Red Bull will appeal, as I don't see how Verstappen can be judged to be at fault.
It seems you missed Hamilton asking his team if Verstappen was ok. So I’ll tell you that Hamilton asked if Verstappen was ok and was told that he was out the car.
I put that same question to Ryar, but she couldnt answer. The only attempt I got for an answer was from someone else saying "It was lap 1" . To which I replied so was the Silverstone incident but it didn't stop Lewis getting a penalty.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 19:00Your understanding of how the chicane works is the weirdest one I have seen yet. You see, if Max were to take the chicane on a normal line with normal speed of trailing another driver, he wouldn't be alongside Lewis into Apex 1. We see he is less than alongside after the braking zone, (this is the point of judgment) then he carries higher than normal speed into the turn to end up close to Lewis rear view mirror (alongside). Colloquial term is "sticking your nose in." At this abnormal speed there is no way he makes the corner here without barging into Lewis on the exit. Since this is a chicane with Max entering AFTER Lewis, Lewis has a right to lock the door. This is how chicanes work. Lewis CANNOT give him space, because Max would simply barge Lewis off the road into the gravel trap on exit. Imagine if that is allowed that another driver enters the chicane last and barges another one off the road? Madness.
Again. See Lap 1 of this race. See Imola Lap 1. It's pretty clear I think. I was actually angry at Lewis for even trying to overtake there. I really saw it as an error because he could have had Max later on.
