It won't happen now. 10 or 15 years too late, the generations who grew up with it are all late 60's now.
The younger people grew up with metric and after that the imperia system makes no sense at all.

The way i understand it this would allow the exclusive usage of imperial units but won't force anyone to do anything so yea ... will probably be used by some "traditional" establishments but that's that.

Unfortunately, this just means that there is no legal requirement on shopkeepers to use metric measurements. There is no reversion other than for a few select people who choose to do so.

That would be me. Did my apprenticeship in Imperial units and my first degree. Soon after we were 'decimalised'.

I still think in imperial and have to convert in my head so understand how it would be viewed my the majority of the country if they had to reverse it. Having said that, I tried to show my grandson how to use a slide rule and he gave up (stupid old man, use your phone )
