It's getting unnecessarily petty between Horner and Wolff, RB and Merc in general. From the Merc rumors that they were using Verstappen as a scapegoat for the tech infringement to now this, totally unnecessary.

These speed trap numbers are utterly meaningless. Gasly was literally inches behind alonso when crossing speed trap line. You cant just take them at face value. Reality is hamilton was gaining 7-8 tenths up the hill and he started to gain that time troughout entire straight, not just the very end. Quite obviously he had a chunk more power compared to max.Magicsenna_41 wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 21:54'Stellar clinical'-Horners statements become more and more ridicolous checking these stats.atanatizante wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 20:51I see just the 2 Honda teams in the speed traps and more so I didn`t see HAM in the top 6 in the most important :

Hilarious take from Maxers, as expected. Hamilton would absolutely have made that corner. They make it sound as if he failed to make it, or it was a voluntary decision to go off trackAeroDynamic wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 22:01Really? If you don’t make the corner and go off track as much as max did, and impede a driver ahead in the process, then that is not being in control of your car. If max did that to max = probably a dnf for both.
You forgot "hitting the apex" stuf...straightline wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 22:07isn’t it Max’ duty, to leave at least one car width of room?ArcticWolfie wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 21:58I don't understand everybody here complaining about the "incident" between MV and Hamilton in turn 4. Yes Verstappen braked too late, but didn't turn into Hamilton on purpose and they both went off. Verstappen corrected accordingly and Hamilton was a bit more cautious and took the wider line... nothing to get so worked up about. The B/W flag later on was totally justified though.
going wide was his way to keep his position. it wasn’t legit, but the best thing he could do
That one never sat well with me. He was being squeezed to the wall by Max yet they expect him to make the apex. I blame Jenson Button for that narrative. he is the one that started it. Once you are on the inside you have more liberty, that has always been the case, except maybe when it's Hamilton in 2021.
Yes! We need that rocketship more than ever.

The only meaningful data is the delta times, Max would leave the Junction 1.1 seconds and by the finish line it was 8-9 tenths, then he'd gain it in the Senna S' and then lose another 2 tenths on the straight to T4. It is amazing speed. Even onboard, you'd see Hamilton eating up the car in front like Usain Bolt eating up ground after a bad start and still winning the race.Juzh wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 22:09These speed trap numbers are utterly meaningless. Sector 2 speed trap is not really worth mentioning as its a very short straight and if you have a good exit it will show in higher speed. Perez fit soft tyres at the end was obviously very fast trough that section.
This is what I'm wondering as well. They upgraded the turbo and the pressure in the combustion engine. How can you do that when the regs say that the engine spec must be frozen?Mansell89 wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 22:11For absolute clarity- is this an in-season, once allowed ICE upgrade that Merc have saved for the run in??
If so- presumably their customers can choose to add it to their pool (with penalties of course) from next race?
I’ve never seen speed like it down the straights. It was like 2014 PU disparity all over again!
Give what place back? Hamilton hadn't fully passed Verstappen by thenShrieker wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 22:10Hilarious take from Maxers, as expected. Hamilton would absolutely have made that corner. Let me settle what really happened, in an objective manner. Max deliberately, or indeliberately ran wide, taking Lewis out of the track with him. He then kept going wider after going off the track, further driving Lewis out wide. It is a very, very clear example of crowding out another car out of space; it's baffling why they weren't asked to give back the place.
any chance they never planed to use this ICE for more than this weekend, and tuned it up accordingly? On the other remaining tracks they should be fine to fight for the win with a "normal" kind of performance as well - maybe they felt like needing something special for today, and therefor gave it a shot, despite the penalty that came with it?!Mansell89 wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 22:11For absolute clarity- is this an in-season, once allowed ICE upgrade that Merc have saved for the run in??

Turbo engine, you can just turn the boost pressure up a little bit, no changes needed.Dee wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021, 22:18This is what I'm wondering as well.
