If Max gets penatly he should then take new engine and run it in full blast for the last races...as he would easily get up to 3rd tomorrow even with 3 place penalty and 5 place for engine penalty
That would be a really bold call. If he were a few more points ahead then it would probably be worth it. Does he only get a 5 spot penalty for a new engine or has he had few enough units that it would still be 10? And I’m not sure whether they’d risk only replacing one element like Mercedes did. That was quite unconventional and might be a huge risk if untried before from what I gather.

This could be the penalty (credit another user)
Bottas - 3 place grid penalty (ignoring single-waved yellow)
Sainz - 3 place grid penalty (ignoring single-waved yellow)
Verstappen - 5 place grid penalty (ignoring double-waved yellow)
Only VER has been called to the stewards as it stands. Your interpretation of drivers affected is incorrect it would appear.

Interesting, as they are only worried about ignoring double yellow flags now?
The flag was not waved when bottas passed. It was being held. The flag is normally waved towards the track in a very vissible way. Bottas did not get a flag. I do not think it is easy for a driver to see an object off to the side of the track is is not moving at all. The flags need to be vigorously waved. In his case he had no flags. Not so with Max.
So maybe Bottas will get off with a warning. The others not so much. 5 place for Sainz, 10 for Max?
For Sure!!

The problem Horner has is that Red Bull have spent huge sums of money on Red Bull Racing (especially when you include the budget for their 3rd and 4th cars which lifts them past Ferrari and Mercedes in total spend) and, over that long period, the only time they've ever sniffed success is this year and the four Vettel years.

I particularly loved his comments about the RBR wing oscillation before qualifying. Apparently the oscillation stalling the rear wing and creating a bigger slot gap is actually a hindrance on the straight.

As an aside, if there's no penalty for flooring it blindly into what could easily have been Marshals/driver on the track then the FIA are done. Every driver that didn't slow needs to be meaningfully penalised.

The fly in the redbull ointment here is Mclaren. They will surely want a penalty for Sainz. Mclaren has huge middle east funding does it not?
And if Sainz gets a penalty, then surely Max must get a double dose.
For Sure!!

So is it 3 places for single waved and 5 for double waved flag infringements?

If they’re consistent with previous occasions

Can someone break down which drivers are at risk of penalty tomorrow, and based on single and double yellows, what potential outcomes they face?

Pirelli introduced a new tyre which benefits Mercedes. Mercedes have come up with all sorts of Flexi Wing & Flexi Suspension which a fully legal RB Rear Wing was banned as Toto Wolff threatened the FIA. Probably the single biggest manipulation so far in this year to favour a team (Mercedes). Also clear disregard for the rules by running an illegal rear wing in Brazil even when RB had warned them prior.
FRIC,DAS,Low rake car design wants to have a word with you...Some people really have short memory here!Like RedBull and Ferrari are saints and didn't bitched and subsequentially BANNED fully legal Mercedes innovations before...The W12 was hindered with the get go with the aero changes this year so...please!

With the stewards having the meetings at 13:00, 13:30, and lastly 13:45. Surely this points to the stewards being swift in their decisions and most likely already have come to their decision already with so little time between each one?

Yes, because the double flags for Verstappen and the yellow flag for Bottas are clearly visible even in 480p video, so at 1080p 60fps everything should be more obvious.
