Pinning things on the marshals is a low bs move by horner. Marshals always do a top top job and I respect them massively. The stewards and race director on the other hand.
Exactly the timing was amazing convenient.

Hamilton sits there charging then uses it all in the last lap. Verstappen then holds the FL and has a yes/no decision. What actually happened was Verstappen had a no risk pit stop under VSC to take better tyres.
Sometimes a coincidence is just a coincidence.
Yes. At the second pit stop it was already clear that Verstappen would have a free stop to take fastest lap. He would have taken it without the vsc as well.

Mercedes... In a race where you need to maximise everything. They've cost huge team points and even lewis one point swing.
Am i missing something??? Why run Bottas for more laps on the medium than he would have needed to do on the hards to get to the end? Even going for a one stop. Did they just forget he was in the race? They have been subpar for a long time strategy wise but today was absolutely ridiculous. A real brain fart.

Redbull would drive rings round them on strategy.

One of the Williams got a puncture after only 25 laps on the hards? Wow!

I wonder if RB might take an engine for one of the next two races and run it as hard as they can

Red Bull has always been the best team on the grid regarding strategy and technical race operations, its just that their car has been able to challenge mercedes this year.

Great to see Alonso back on the podium, good for him. nice Podium finishers. Great Race from Lewis and Max again too.

what a disaster for Bottas, guy can't catch a break for bad luck at all.

Im surrpsied MCS are still leading the constructors after that.

just grateful the race wasn't decided by a failing tyre.

At the time he was lapping faster than Alonso, so I feel they were staying out to get a gap and clear Alonso.

To be fair I think the problem is Bottas more than the team. Sure they kept him out too long (in hindsight) but his drive in the race was also pathetic.

Also, Mercedes won the race and very easily. So they have done some things right.

It made no sense. At the point it blew Bottas was losing time to Perez and Verstappen. He needed to pit around 5 laps earlier to keep in front of Perez and deny Verstappen any chance of FL and a 2nd pit stop.

It’s a huge gamble. How many places would Verstappen lose from an engine swap? 5 or 10? I don’t know how many he’s taken so far.

However they don’t know if they can just replace the ICE in isolation like Mercedes was able to. It might not work for them.

Horner summoned to the stewards for breaching the sporting code. Wonder what this is for? Comments about the marshals or about other teams?

Hamilton and Max... and the rest. Those 2 are from another planet compared to the rest, whatever you might think of them. The last 2 races are going to be so exciting!

It was actually a bit unlucky for Bottas. He was driving at a good pace and was going to offset Perez quite nicely, but then the puncture happened. He didn’t look like he was struggling for grip at all, so the punctures were the surprise of the race.

I imagine stewards. Sky announced today was the FIA’s volunteer day and Horner comes out with that ****.
