I dont think i can sleep tonight, Imagine what driver are going through...Nico was telling pre race that in 2016 he just slept 2 to 3 hours the whole weekend and he couldn't eat or drink anything
Than again. That race Lewis ran slow, still Nico could not overtake him.

In a few hours, motor racing history will be made: either a man will win the F1 title for a record 8th time or another man will join the list of champions and become the 34th world champion.
So your saying there is currently 33 world champions...
Would sound good if driver 33 became champion No 34

Thanks.
It seems the RedBull simply turned on the soft tyres better. It was faster everywhere, no mistakes from the drivers, similar lines too but the steering wheel movement and throttle application tells me the Mercedes tyres were not turned on. This is far from over.

Just for the telemetry freaks among us, someone has been putting up some very funky work ..

I kind of wish you hadn't shown this. I'm now gonna end up spending an hour after each session looking at graphs

After looking through, it's interesting that Max was actually faster at the end of the first straight in the second lap than the first one with the tow

Looks like Hamilton had very little increase in top speed between FP2 and Q3. Maybe this 'spicy' engine is beginning to degrade or there are concerns for its reliability.

Let's all find out tomorrow. Wouldn't make much difference in race unless Lewis needs to overtake

Hmm. Hamilton's top speed traces appear to be chopped off at their peaks. Not sure if Mercedes was hiding engine power because they know that they will easily pass people tomorrow. Hamilton seemed quite relaxed with second place too.

The "spice" is so mysterious; we just haven't seen any of it since Brazil. I though the engine revs behaved funny in the onboard lap adding to the mystery even more. It is also worth noting that Horner felt that the pole lap was a surprise.

We will see...

Maybe we all should support this guy on Twitter so he'll keep working on it !?

And while bringing it to attention; no, it's not me .. just found the site, and it's insanely thorough and simple to use.

Any SCs or VSCs during Max's first stint on his flat-spotted softs will absolutely help his odds of winning the race tomorrow. Hamilton made a brilliant start (or was it a restart) against Max last week so me thinks the start will be the best chance he has (all other things being equal) to get in front and stay in front of Max. I believe the Merc engine also has some life left in it for a desperate push at some point in tomorrow's race since Lewis declined a possible tow from Bottas knowing he might have something in reserve if he needs it in the race.
They cannot alter the ICE ‘mode’ from what it was when it went into the car today; only ERS recovery and deployment modes.
