The safety car pitting rules are a complete mess. No way an SC or VSC should decide a race. I posted about this before. Simple change to rules prevents this but still allows teams strategy choices under safety car

Game over. Oh well. The performance gap each lap is only going to get bigger

Merc had no choice, it’s that or give up track position and then max gets to dictate the passing. They were in the worst spot
Yeah lose lose.
If he pit and ver stayed out wouldn't be able to pass even if he caught I reckon

Can't believe this, Mercedes have thrown this away, Lewis has a massive tyres disadvantage.

Merc must be praying for another VSC now!!
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

I expect so. Max isn't gaining enough, the MB is too good a car. Unless the tires suddenly drop off for Lewis, he will make it.

Too late, he’s under the margin. VSC would help the tyre wear that’s about it

I feel sick, Lewis will be a sitting duck by the end.

Just make a 3m gap in the barrier and GOV could just roll out and there would be no interaction with a running race. We see this almost every race, when will the track designer learn this. It would even be more safe.

Quit the bollocks. He had a chance and stayed out. And so far Max is hardly gaining.
