Ok, a bit of useless time comparison from the test to last years Q by the fastest laps of the team.

First time is Q, second time is test
Mercedes: 1:16.741, 1:19.138 (+2,397)
RedBull: 1:16.777, 1:19.556 (+2,779)
Ferrari: 1:17.510, 1:19.831 (+2,321)
McLaren: 1:17.622, 1:19:568 (+1,946)
Alpine: 1:17.580, 1:21.242 (+3,662)
AlphaTauri: 1:17.982, 1:19.918 (+1,936)
Aston Martin: 1:17.974, 1:19.824 (+1,850)
Williams: 1:18.445, 1:20.318 (+1,873)
Alfa Romeo: 1:18.356, 1:21.885 (+3,529)
HAAS: 1:19.117, 1:21.512 (+2,395)

Again, this is just a fun comparison.

I haven’t heard much about porpoising today. Have the Teams solved the issue? Or has it just become a nonfactor?

Do we have any solid evidence on how these cars interact with each other yet?
Not only close following, but does the air from a passing car disturb the 'ground effect' of either car, and do they take each others air when turning as in sailing?

Edit, by this I mean cornering side by side

As far as following, Leclerc mentioned that from 1s-3s behind you can follower closer, from .5-1s he said there wasn't much difference, but within .5s he said it was much better than last year. Just one driver's point of view.

maybe because it is not a official test, the don't want to spend too much, considering budget constraints?
It's testing, but because Libery like sucking on the money teet its not called that, so that it not the reason.
With how limit testing is these days, having your running curtailed by things that break is not good. They still learn from the process though and can fix the things that break in the meantime.
Better the devil we know. We all criticised Bernie, but at least he was a competitive spirit, initially being part of the competitors...

Bernie is the reason why f1 is in this situation...he is the one who demanded very large amount of money from classic f1 tracks and sold f1's soul to the so caller new Tilke tracks. He is the reason why f1 has now become like WWE

Kind of suggest overtaking will be like at the beginning kers era, drivers messing with settings to deceive their opponent in the hopes of building up a substantial battery pack charge that they can then use to break through the .5-1s barrier.

George & Lando reported that the slip stream was massively reduced, compared to last few years, so echoing the Ferrari drivers comments really, and I suppose what should have been expected really

Bernie wasn’t in it for the money? Did he sold you a bridge too?

What does Carey’s wife have anything to do with it?

We’ve heard surprisingly little about the new tyres, given how different they’re supposed to be. Do they still overheat? Are they no longer so peaky? How does that translate to being able to push etc?

The new cars are supposed to direct air upwards than sideways like the old cars, which means in a straight line any car behind will have a bigger slipstream effect! But they don't...any ideas why??
