For that kind of money, he will even believe in aliens.
Indeed
Can't fail to see some parallels between this signing and Jacque Villeneuve's career. Both won championships young and then committed to some team long term and then just got stuck there without any career options in other cars. And then became a nobody.
I would have thought Max committed to just 2 to 3 years and look for a seat in some other top team.
Well where else is he going to go? Mercedes has Russell, Ferrari has Lelerc and Sainz, McLaren has Lando. He's kind of stuck there realistically.
He does get treated like the second coming of Christ though, and Red Bull ARE one of the best teams on the grid, so it's not a bad place to be!
I thought all those above teams had 2 seats ?
Unless he has burned bridges with other top teams, Mercedes with its current management would never take him and also would block him in other merc engine cars (just like Honda blocking alonso in all racing series).
So yeah he is stuck here, similar to Jacque Villeneuve's career.
And any team without an in house engine manufacturer or factory engine team in f1 has no gaurentee it will have continued success like Ferrari, Mercedes, renat
