On the other side, a few times I had the feeling that McLaren was trying to close the gap and overtake the competition in one go, with one radical innovation like the blockers, ultraslimfit, u-pods etc. That did not work out well.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑12 Mar 2022, 14:52I know radicallity doesn't mean a fast car but I am missing the days when Mclaren brought a radical car like the MP4-18 for example and everyone is like oooohhh. I want to see these days back again where Mclaren is the cream of the crop.
Will Lando have a sandwich after the test or full supper?Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑12 Mar 2022, 16:37Is Lando gonna try fast qualifying runs today or only tests for the rest of the day?

its probably full redsign of the interior of the ducting of the brakes, all that I have read its not the brakes that are cooking but the bits and pieces inside, I do wonder if mclaren were trying to do something like in years past by using brake heat to help with tyre temps and it hasnt panned out.Emag wrote: ↑12 Mar 2022, 17:07Man, 3 days and they couldn't solve that damned brake issue, which suggests it runs deeper than just "change brake ducts". Nevermind the pace of the car, I hope we don't have a double dnf here next week. What a disappointment after Barcelona man. It's like we went too high and god slapped us back to reality hard. This test has been very sucky.
I hope at least Daniel is getting better. I have had close people die from covid. Wouldn't take it as lightly as some people seem to take it here. That sh!t is no joke.
The McLaren is an extreme car. It may look simple but the side pods are the most far forward and have zero undercut. Creating a very very strong outwash then a downwash over the engine cover. I think McLaren are the team who have the best control over floor sealing.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑12 Mar 2022, 14:52I know radicallity doesn't mean a fast car but I am missing the days when Mclaren brought a radical car like the MP4-18 for example and everyone is like oooohhh. Is that issue affecting the current long run pace?
