Naturally all teams will be bringing a large amount of development in the coming months from development that is ongoing as we speak.
This bit is accurate, the rest is guesswork. I wouldn't say you were absolutely correct in your assumptions. Mercedes are likely bringing an update because they need to fix a problem, and Ferrari might not need to because the car is a good base to work from and they want to understand it well first.

Quite a few believe that Mercedes has veiled its true performance during the test drives. A team calculates that Mercedes has a second up its sleeve in terms of engine power alone. This is said to have been determined using the GPS data in comparison with Williams. The racing team from Grove drives with a Mercedes engine and is said to have turned it up to full speed in between. If that's true, George Russell would have driven at Verstappen level in the tests.
Which assumes that Max didn't also have engine power to spare on his quick runs. These people do like to draw interesting conclusions from small amounts of data and even less application of thought.
Marko on the last day said they ran with the Max engine mode during his interview with AMuS. Fuel levels are left to assumption.

think penalty points is a bit of a unrepresentative way to compare.

Lewis has had his more than fair share over last seasons where max has gone without any. Very poor comparison IMHO
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Lol, one of then threw the championship away last year being too aggressive, had to be rescued, and it wasn't Lewis was it

And talking aggressive and driving aggressive are two different things. Driving smart might be aggressive or not, depending. Anyway I'm thinking Mercedes have George to be young and aggressive now...

because he didn't have to share the track with anyone in p3 for a season or two.

Its a very representative way to compare two drivers who shared the track a number of times in a very balanced competitive season with one another. He got a lot more penalty points.

juxtaposition of the effort gone into this by the teams.

Wow, if ever there was a case of not following the spirit of the rules, that document from Red Bull is a great example.

Interesting that Mercedes say the front wing gives 25% of the downforce. That suggests that the floor doesn't give the high % of total downforce that some commentators have been suggesting.
Wonder why Rebull bothered to fill it in, basically they are saying they ran the changes in preseason testing.
It pisses me off, they are supposed to be the hip team, but they do everything to be obstructive, putting up barriers etc

What on earth are you talking about. They have done what is asked, a brief description up to 50 words and an overview up to 100. If the FIA expect/want more then perhaps they should have used the word detailed and asked for a minimum of words. I'm gobsmacked people here actually think teams are going to "reveal all" with these documents.

Hello boys, Im just excited as all of you about the new F1 season. but I wanted to ask something. Is there an app where I can follow live timings where it shows the tire being used in the session and as much info as possible about temperatures and weather? what are the best options for as much session info as possible. Thanks

Agree, like the design but transparency needs an increase for sure.

Red Bull - front wing makes downforce. Well no sh1t Sherlock

Mercedes - gives some detail.

Fairly obvious that one is taking the idea seriously, the other isn't. But then one team does a huge amount of fan-facing stuff with post-race debrief videos, Q&As, pre-season rules changes videos, etc. And the other just complains about Toto spending time in Monaco.
