Seriously why didn't his team tell him Webber was on a timed lap and tell him to get out of the way and WTF did he not just use his F'N brain when he saw Webber flying up behind him and just GTF out of his way and when he was clear then start his own lap!!! FFS he was on an out lap, a couple of extra seconds for Webber to go by would not have affected him at all!!
Very unprofessional conduct imo!!!!

b) You do realise how little drivers can see in their mirrors?
c) Yes the team should have told him but --- happens
d) There was loads of cars on the track - it was bound to happen to someone
When interviewed, Sutil said that he was defending against Webber passing him, because he thought Webb was on an out lap as well, not a timed lap.Scotracer wrote:a) Calm downdjos wrote:WTF is wrong with Sutil & FI???? Mark Webber, P19: "Traffic. I had traffic on the last corner and therefore wasn’t quick enough to go through. I don’t usually get caught out with that problem and that was the worst place to get nailed, as it wrecked both my flying laps. I had nowhere to go in the last corner of my first lap and then Sutil slip-streamed past me for the start of my second, so it was a disaster. Q1 is the worst session to have had that problem, as now we’re at the back for tomorrow – my race is screwed."Scotracer wrote:Watch the replay again and you'll see that when he realises that Webber is flying up behind he does pull over but the speed difference is too great and Webber is obviously worried about losing his fast lap therefore goes for broke down the inside.
What happened on the track was just that but yes the team should have told them as they have all that data.
Considering Webber isn't fueled to the gunwales and has a very fast car I hope he can make his way thru the field as bahrain does have some good passing possibilities for a fast car.Conceptual wrote:Bad break for Webber, but also an opportunity to put in an amazing drive to get into the points. He has the car, the talent, and has choice of strategy. I think he will do fine! I am actually looking for Webber to be driver of the day tomorrow with his charge through the field! He will be the 600lb gorilla in the room at the back of the field, and I am looking forward to seeing how he manhandles the sub-par opponents.
Tried, failed, uninstalled, now tracking down spyware.....Motley wrote:Apologies for dragging this slightly off-topic, but I think I might have a cure for your woes,
I'm a big fan of Family Guy and other American TV shows which are now available on a site called HULU.com. However I couldn't watch anything on there because the website knows that I'm located in the United Kingdom. I think that this is the same problem being faced by anyone wanting to watch F1 on the BBC Sport website who doesn't live in the UK.
It's called The Hotspot Shield...
http://hotspotshield.com/
It cloaks you when you're online, and protects you when you're using wireless hotspots in public place, but it has the extremely useful side effect of letting you access location-restricted conent.
I can now use HULU perfectly anytime I want to, and I think it could help you to watch a decent F1 feed...
Let me know if it works out...
I never said it was malicious, imo it's a failure of communications from FI and common sense from Sutil.Scotracer wrote:I hadn't seen that particular quote but the point still stands that Sutil wasn't be malicious with what he did; if what he believed Webber was doing were true then it would have been justified.
And just a partially rhetorical question: what would you have expected Adrian to have done when Webber was JUST in front of him and was gaining a slipstream for the start of his hotlap?

I just hope webber doesnt get caught up in any 1st corner stupidity!Conceptual wrote: I think that Vettel will win it, but will be overshadowed by a superb Webber drive.
I always like seeing FAST cars/drivers at the back of the field on relatively low fuel and starting with the SS tyres.
He should be able to nail 5-6 places on the first lap, and quite possibly end up in the points.
OT: When is RBR to debut their KERS solution? Since Renault's is race ready/proven, would it be worth buying theirs to go with the new diffusor upgrade? I think that might just sew up the WDC/WCC if they pulled it off!
