How long was their long-run in FP3? Seems to me that they took a bit of a gamble on the setup. Let’s hope it pays off tomorrow!

LEC put together 10 fast laps with 1:25.41 average pace.
SAI put together 9 fast laps with 1:25.76 average pace.

Looks pretty good to me.

Thanks 🙏. Looks very strong. I think a lot will depend on track position tomorrow, could get feisty at the start. Also if it’s 2-vs-1 that might give Ferrari the strategy advantage to take on Verstappen.

Hearing they’ve loaded the front end mode is a bit concerning when the primary tyre of concern is front left, isn’t it?

I’m really hoping for the best. This is the real first test between redbull, Ferrari and now Mercedes too.

I was thinking about that as well, they set it up to protect the rears but shouldn't it be the opposite at a front limited track? They know more than me ultimately, hopefully the race pace is good. It would be very worrying for the rest of the season if they can't carry that outstanding one lap pace into the race.

Yes but if Sainz fall back around 8-10s again before the first stops, it's only 1 on 1 in the front.

Duchessa kept saying the doubts on the engine were about reliability and it's come to pass. How does the first unit have no issues but the brand new fixed one does this? Potentially even worse than the DNF and surrendering the lead is handing Mercedes so many free points.

How can you bring up reliability issues because of a single problem they've got in the sixth race? New PU or not, such failures can happen.

Really painful DNF. That F1-75 in the hands of Leclerc was the car to beat.

Because it was a reliability issue. I understand failures can happen but they shouldn't when you're a championship hopeful. What makes it worse is Ferrari have had great reliability the last 2 years.

It is what it is no point dwelling on it now but that has sapped my confidence in the engine, I used to think it was bulletproof.

They still have great realibility. I don't know what you're talking about, to be honest. That's the first issue in the sixth race.

RedBull have had several issues, yet they're leading both champiopnships at the moment.

Judging by the sound imho it was a Turbo failure, nothing to do with ICE that had reliability issues at start of season.

Well, that was a painful race to witness... Bahrain 2019 flashbacks where strong here.

Long season to go... hope the reliability doesn't play too much more a factor for us. In saying that, Red Bull has had their reliability issues and now they're leading.

Now with Monaco next, my nerves are high due to Leclerc's record for the last several seasons...

Sainz. What a disappointment. He should have been covering for Leclerc and winning this race. So gut wrenching. Someone need to have a sit down with Sainz and tell him that he isn't living upto the expectation. #-o
