Contrary to the popular opinion i cant wait for this borefest to be scrapped off the calendar.I hope they would invest in modernizing some circuits like Magny-Cours or bring back Nurburgring GP, Hockenheim,Instanbul Park etc. Any of the above would be a million times better than this scalectrix procession-hell even in scalectrix tracks there are overtakes!Cherry on the top was Alonso's/Alpine antics. Of course glamour, income and arguably "history" is top priority than racing.

It is quite competetive... in George's hands :)
 and George is a title contender
Way better though. Imagine, without Russell's performances, we would have thought that car was worse than McLaren and Alpine today.
Another food for thought: Bottas has only 10 points less than Lewis.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Luckly I have the option to rewind the race and have a look at it… he clearly crossed it, not a matter of perspective. But since I am a lazy bastard I won’t bother to make screenshots or continue to explaim myself.
I think that at the point his rear wheel was over the line his front wheel was past the end of the line so he was on the main track (technically) not then in the pit exit lane
He crossed it woth the front as well
But at that point 3 other wheels were in the pit lane. Its just what I thought with a quick glance though, so I may be wrong
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

This track should be deleted from F1. Seriously, racing without opportunity to overtake is worthless.
The track is frustratingly crap.

If you are a fan of racing, the track itself makes no actual sense besides appeasing the locals/royalty and the income that generates.

People just salty.
Yeah. Max was faster in Barcelona, Perez was faster today, its just as simple as that. Some people don't seem to have common sense, or they have an agenda.

Yes it is and should be. Monaco is a Ferrari among tracks and has every right to be here. Maybe cars shouldt be 5+ metres long and weight almost a tonne. If you cant watch it, then dont. Go and do something else at the Monaco weekend.

They’ll never allow it.
Yes, I'm afraid, it's a difficult situation
Based on what? Crashing during qualifying preventing Verstappen from starting before him? Getting the better strategy during the race and then finishing barely 2 seconds before Verstappen on a track where overtaking is almost impossible? I guess Sainz is a title contender now too? Don't be silly, Leclerc and Verstappen are way faster over a full GP distance than Sainz and Perez.
Perez was faster than him all weekend so it's not an argument. Sainz might be too far honestly. But Perez is consistent and, especially, if Verstappen suffer one more DNF/things heat up with Leclerc, he can be there. Rosberg won the title in 2016 but I don't think he's faster than Lewis. Carlos finished ahead of Charles last season but I don't think he's faster than him on race pace.

Sainz is starting to understand the car, he can took point out of Leclerc in the and Verstappen, in the future, like today which favour Perez title hope.

That also does not matter. Drivers were being penalised in the past for merely touching the line with one wheel, let alone crossing it. The line is there for a safety reasons and it usually was policed quite harshly (drive through was a standard penalty for touching/crossing it).

Abd to have it be even more confusing F1TV commentators (not Sky) evem tead from event notes where race director felt a need to really remind teams about crossing the pit exit line

They just need a unique format.

This is why I never understood sprints, surely they should be addressing a format-change here and at other prob tracks first. Quali besides the frequent reds is a good spectacle.

Wasnt it Charles in Jeddah that crossed/on the line of the pit entry without getting a penalty?

Max's back wheel was definitely ON the line, not over though.
