Judging by his comments after Q1, it seemed like it was his decision.

Brawn are lighter that I'd have thought.

Massa ( if we manage to win a couple positions using his KERS at the start ) and Vettel can be serious opponents tomorrow.

So Hamilton starts with the most fuel.. All you can do from that low grid position.

Wow. Ferrari & Massa did a great job.. Looks like the prancing horse is back? He's the fastest KERS car, so he'll have a good chance from there with the start boost.

RBR still doing a great job too, without the DDD.

Great final Q3 lap excitement from Button. =D> =D>

So Vettel and Webber were on identical fuel loads. Webber's season isn't getting any better.

Furl corrected that would have been pole for Vettel.

Nice to see Massa competitive -- AND the heaviest of the first 6 qualifiers.

The "one-class" season starts tomorrow. Even though Button will be VERY hard to catch with the lead he has built up, at least we can look forward to some good racing at the front, not just mid-field.

Another outstanding Newey design. I think he is in a class by himself.

Look for another race management change at Ferrari VERY soon.

Anybody spot this in the post qualifying press conference

JB:...I am very happy with our performance but it is very, very close and I don’t know what lap Sebastian is stopping on.
SV: Lap 27.
JB: Lap 27, we are okay then as we are 32. So it is all fine, bring on tomorrow.

But according to the declared fuel levels Sebastian Vetel has 5.5kg more fuel than Jenson on board (651.5kg and 646.0kg respectively). Have I got my facts wrong here or is there a difference in fuel consumption between the Renault and Mercedes engines to factor in?

I'm guessing it may have been a joke from Seb and Button cottoned on.

I believe mclaren is going for a 1 stopper, they have actually nothing to lose.

The chance that brawn and rbr will go for a risky 3 stopper is really small, then massa will go as the lucky third(fourth here actually). The only reason for them to do a 3 stopper is tyre problems or to clock really fast laptimes and to gain alot.

Just took a look at the weather at Barcelona.

Rain overnight, cloudy morning, partly cloudy for the race, generally arround 20 celcius.

May make it interesting playing the tyres option/prime/prime mpre lucritive for some teams.
