Go back to page 6, there's a link to a tweet with RWs (incl Ferrari's), first reply to it has the RB wing
Thank you

It looks like RB are running a slightly smaller rear wing

FP1 best lap:
* lower rpms at end of straights in LEC engine confirm the lower engine mode.
* Ferrari S3 seems so much faster, particularly T10/T11 (fast wide radius right hander and mid speed shorter radius right hander) is massively better on Ferrari. LEC simply can keep the throttle down a lot more, or maybe it's still stuck like in Austria (haha).

Also mini race sim:
VER
LAP 13 S/8 Stint 4: 2:20.799
LAP 14 S/9 Stint 4: 1:37.909
LAP 15 S/10 Stint 4: 1:38.766
LAP 16 S/11 Stint 4: 1:38.661
LAP 17 S/12 Stint 4: 1:39.803

LEC
LAP 18 S/8 Stint 6: 2:12.145
LAP 19 S/9 Stint 6: 1:39.109
LAP 20 S/10 Stint 6: 1:39.869
LAP 21 S/11 Stint 6: 1:39.610

hard to know the fuel loads here as that's a big difference and unlikely to be real.

Max made massive errors in S3 on his best lap, running wide onto aggressive kerbs which were so bad it damaged the car (the floor fence fell off). Ant Davidson reckoned the mistake was worth at least 3 tenths. His S3 on best lap was not a pb by far

Not really all too knowledgeable on suspension stuff but this seems very stiff?

Such a shame voting in General chat has been restricted. =D> =D> =D>
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

So, I watched his onboard/lap and yeah he made a big mistake running wide on T11 exit. That's the only error he made in S3 though and his speed through T10 was still slow, and to go wide while supposedly going slow is weird no? I think the car has setup issues for Max to make such a mistake.

Ferrari will be class of the field in S3 nonetheless.

Yes, I have no doubt that Ferrari will be quicker than RB in S3 this weekend come qualifying. But I do think that most of the data taken from Max's S3 is not useful, and was just adding important detail to the telemetry annotation

had a look at a representative lap in race sims, and I also confirm LEC wasn't pushing on the straights, pretty blatant here to be honest.

And here's RUS v LEC:

Image

* Engine isn't tuned down on RUS, in fact higher RPM but about same top speed as Ferrari suggests higher drag
* I thought RUS did his lap on mediums but the telemetry says softs...
* S3 is slower as well in the same way RBR S3 is slower compared to Ferrari although it's closer to Ferrari than RBR's.

race sim for russell is on the medium:
LAP 20 M/12 Stint 5: 2:10.197
LAP 21 M/13 Stint 5: 1:39.435
LAP 22 M/14 Stint 5: 1:39.838
LAP 23 M/15 Stint 5: 1:39.860
LAP 24 M/16 Stint 5: 2:27.130

deg looks decent, pace is slow but this time it's not engine mode related:
Image

the medium tire is a bunch slower or the car, despite being draggier, just has a bit more difficulty in the corners.

High tire degradation for Ferrari. Max was able to be in 1:37 for quite a few laps completed to just 1 or 2 by Ferrari. Sim work needed overnight. Ghosts of last year need to be laid to rest.

Mercedes might come into play with race pace. Russell sim was strong.

Leclerc was behind traffic basically all of his laps, and judging by FP1 Ferrari isn't even pushing on the straights to not damage the engine, I would wait a few minutes to at least see telemetry before going all negative.
