Thank you
It looks like RB are running a slightly smaller rear wing
Max made massive errors in S3 on his best lap, running wide onto aggressive kerbs which were so bad it damaged the car (the floor fence fell off). Ant Davidson reckoned the mistake was worth at least 3 tenths. His S3 on best lap was not a pb by fardialtone wrote: ↑22 Jul 2022, 15:50https://i.imgur.com/qq3ZRFd.jpeg
FP1 best lap:
* lower rpms at end of straights in LEC engine confirm the lower engine mode.
* Ferrari S3 seems so much faster, particularly T10/T11 (fast wide radius right hander and mid speed shorter radius right hander) is massively better on Ferrari. LEC simply can keep the throttle down a lot more, or maybe it's still stuck like in Austria (haha).

hard to know the fuel loads here as that's a big difference and unlikely to be real.

So, I watched his onboard/lap and yeah he made a big mistake running wide on T11 exit. That's the only error he made in S3 though and his speed through T10 was still slow, and to go wide while supposedly going slow is weird no? I think the car has setup issues for Max to make such a mistake.organic wrote: ↑22 Jul 2022, 15:52Max made massive errors in S3 on his best lap, running wide onto aggressive kerbs which were so bad it damaged the car (the floor fence fell off). Ferrari will be class of the field in S3 nonetheless.organic wrote: ↑22 Jul 2022, 15:52Max made massive errors in S3 on his best lap, running wide onto aggressive kerbs which were so bad it damaged the car (the floor fence fell off). Yes, I have no doubt that Ferrari will be quicker than RB in S3 this weekend come qualifying. But I do think that most of the data taken from Max's S3 is not useful, and was just adding important detail to the telemetry annotationdialtone wrote: ↑22 Jul 2022, 16:02So, I watched his onboard/lap and yeah he made a big mistake running wide on T11 exit. had a look at a representative lap in race sims, and I also confirm LEC wasn't pushing on the straights, pretty blatant here to be honest.
Leclerc was behind traffic basically all of his laps, and judging by FP1 Ferrari isn't even pushing on the straights to not damage the engine, I would wait a few minutes to at least see telemetry before going all negative.
