Max is showing prodigious talent. He does not even have the fastest car and yet devastates all opposition. Simply unstoppable.

This used to be very normal? I have seen numerous F1 races end behind the SC.
That's not the point, they are just so conservative and timid in race direction. The car and track was clear. They don't allow lapped cars thru even tho there were just 3 of them. Allow them thru on the damn straight. Geez is it that hard?. so much procedure for absolutely nothing.
Well, the last time they did something like this...holy s... people got fired up about it.

P7->P1 another great race by max. Their lack of degradation won them the race
Better races by Sainz and Hamilton who came through the entire field to get 4th and 5th.

All the rule changes, simulation, team tactics, and race management are irrelevant if it keeps being decided by a lottery. May as well watch a quiz show.

If there’s a SC in the last 10 laps Indycar have lapped cars falling to the back. I don’t see why F1 couldn’t implement this. A red flag would have at least allowed a racing finish.

Nothing has been learned from Abu Dhabi 21 it seems.

And all the Ferrari fans booing Max.
Standard stuff with anyone that isn't a Ferrari driver, especially if there is also a Ferrari driver on the podium.

Not their pace ofcourse.
They go hand in hand, no? The knowledge of not starting P1 anyway and choosing for a race setup allowed them to set up for low deg, the pace the car has since the summer break allowed them to do so, and the early stop by Ferrari in the end played in RB's advantage.

Quite a change compared to the earlier parts of the season, for example Austria where Ferrari had the overhand on deg, and consequently, car pace.

Australia and Austria and Monaco Ferrari comfortably had the fastest Race car. Silverstone, France, Hungary, Saudi Arabia the race pace between Ferrari and Red Bull were equal. This idea that Red Bull has had a dominant car is based on recency bias with Spa
France and Saudi Arabia seemed close, but Max was leading at Silverstone after passing Sainz on track before the first stops and would have driven off into the distance had it not been for damage.

He won from 10th in Hungary with ease.

I wouldn't say the RB18 has been dominant all season but in terms of race pace it's in it's own league right now.
And has been for some time.

There is literally no doubt its a dominant car. Only some would choose to ignore the fact that max can stroll from 14th, 10th, and 7th and win comfortably.
Minus a handful of tracks it's been the best racecar without any doubts.

Those that ignore it will likely also tell you that the Ferrari was a better car because it got pole. 🤣
If it wasn’t for the double stop then I reckon the pace between LEC and VER was pretty close. We were robbed off a good fight with the Ferrari pit strategy

It’s the first time I’ve been embarrassed to talk about my beloved sport! I always thought there’s no way this sport can get manipulated like football! But now this is too much…

Since Abu Dhabi the FIA has been trying desperately to have Verstapen win every single race! Can’t believe what I just saw…3 laps with a clean race track yet they didn’t even let lapped cars pass! At Abu Dhabi though they fast tracked their proceedings just to give Verstapen an easy chance to win a race he didn’t deserve with the race pace he had that day!

Anyway, even if we had a restart Leclerc wouldn’t have been able to pass Verstapen but still…why rob fans from such an exciting finish specially when it’s Ferrari’s home GP we’re racing at!

Not sure why everyone is complaining of the safety car.

No need for a red flag to finish the race.
Because we saw what happens last year when they allow a single lap race at the end. Of course, Max wasn't in the lead that time.

LEC was probably 0.2s/lap slower in race pace, and worse tyre wear.
