Mercedes with big rear wing (wet aero setup). The whole field is split between high and normal downforce setups.

Field spread is super low here. Anyone know why?

What's been strapped into the back of those Alpines! Absolutely flying. Dare bet the Ferrari pit wall and Charles were a little tense there with a lot of drivers improving so much in the last run of Q2

Think early in the thread that they have skinnier wings. Could be tricky if tomorrow does have rain.

He was warming tyres, Norris was going unusually fast as JB said in comms.

Until FIA enforce a minimum outlap time which isn't a snails pace we'll get more of these incidents.

Warming up tyres by doing a burnout in the middle of the track? Never seen that before in qualifying.

I’ll tell you what happened. He looked into the mirror seeing Norris approaching and then stepped on the pedal like a madman unintentionally or even intentionally steering left.

Max lost his rear left brake duct winglets on the final run.. so might've had more time in the final lap without this

Usual stuff before starting the flyer. Norris behind, decided to suddenly overtake him.

lets see if the fia will take away his pole position... seems like almost a slam dunk penalty for 3 place grid drop

I don't think he was doing a burnout. Burnouts are done by intentionally breaking traction which I doubt Verstappen was intentionally trying to do there

I don't think there will be a penalty for this
