F1 is the sideshow I’m afraid when it comes to the US. Celebs, blaring music and making the dollar the priority on these weekends

8pm race start is about the only good thing about this weekend

Seeing you are loaded (Australianism?) throw a few bob to the coverage helicopters for a ride at qually time, saves time and probably cheaper
I have a wife and 4 daughters.🤣 I'm far from loaded. More sad that I miss it again this year. And I'm done with helicopters... My knees have enough damage from those rides in a previous life.
You look as if you have covid coming on
You will have to make it up on sunday though
No, Ive already had COVID in 2019. I just have a plane ticket to NYC in the freezing cold...🙄

BTW, it's been pretty cold here in Texas this week. I wonder how the cars will run.

Actually, looks like 85F fri-sun with no rain... it's just the mornings in the high 40s.

High downforce levels. RB even with still a gurney flap. Maybe they are worried about rear tyre temps/sliding more than anything else with the forecasted temperatures

Yeah, that is strange. I was expecting medium DF levels. They might change, who knows...

Is it a RB gurney flap or the line in the garage behind?

Isn’t that the lower edge of the monitors hanging on the wall behind the rear wing instead of a gurney flap?

Not strange. There's virtually no penalty for the larger wing at this track because they will have DRS on both straights in qualifying (which gives a bigger benefit for RB, than the others) and they would have DRS in the race should they need to overtake. The extra load will protect the tires in the twisty bits.

Have confirmed with other pic that RB is using gurney on their highest df wing, as are at least McLaren and alpha tauri.. seems to be that COTA needs max downforce with these cars, at least that is the case for the forecasted temperatures
