Another Max win, Perez ought to be on the podium too. The Red Bull is going to doing warp 3 at the end of the straight in the thin air.

RedBull's efficiency will have a less of an impact here due to the thin air.

Will they 1-stop again? Based on this year's tyres I'd say hopefully they 2-stop it

Won't be so easy for RB here as this track is at high altitude. Means efficient aero is worth less laptime

Ferrari should be a lot better here than in previous races. Typically been that whoever has the best high downforce package has won out. Although its difficult to know how the downforce packages still stack up after the summer break

I'm interested to see Mercedes' performance here. In theory, they should be closer than they ever will be due to altitude

Dependent on cooling issues potentially. They had to do a lot of lift & coast at Barcelona for instance

They messed up cooling at Barcelona, because it was a lot cooler on Friday than the rest of the weekend. They've been fine the rest of the season.

Everyone is looking at the altitude to help Mercedes with the drag issue but they are forgetting that Mercs still have tire issues which are very likely to reappear on a circuit like this. There are no long fast sweeping corners like a Suzuka or USA to get generate lateral loads to sustain the tire temperature. Mexico city is a notoriously low grip circuit.

True. The low grip might really hurt them.

T1/T2/T3 is usually mayhem, so I’m expecting at least one or two of the front runners to endure some misery. I wouldn’t mind just seeing a race without Max, just to produce some unpredictability.

Also fully expecting the inevitable safety car, which, unfortunately, gets a run out during every race nowadays.

Could be, yeah, but according to AmuS, Sainz will most likely take a penalty.

Here's the updated list of ICE-introductions (if I didn't miss any):

Giving Verstappen a new engine as well would probably the most elegant way to get Perez into a potentially race winning situation. But if engine 3, 4 and 5 are all still working, I'd think normally he should be fine.

Aerowise you might be right. But their engine will heat more and produce less power compared to Ferrari and Honda. Also, heating the tyres will be a big issue for them.
