They messed up cooling at Barcelona, because it was a lot cooler on Friday than the rest of the weekend. They've been fine the rest of the season.

Everyone is looking at the altitude to help Mercedes with the drag issue but they are forgetting that Mercs still have tire issues which are very likely to reappear on a circuit like this. There are no long fast sweeping corners like a Suzuka or USA to get generate lateral loads to sustain the tire temperature. Mexico city is a notoriously low grip circuit.

T1/T2/T3 is usually mayhem, so I’m expecting at least one or two of the front runners to endure some misery. I wouldn’t mind just seeing a race without Max, just to produce some unpredictability.

Giving Verstappen a new engine as well would probably the most elegant way to get Perez into a potentially race winning situation. But if engine 3, 4 and 5 are all still working, I'd think normally he should be fine.

Aerowise you might be right. But their engine will heat more and produce less power compared to Ferrari and Honda. Also, heating the tyres will be a big issue for them.
