Well, getting that pole was super important for the win, I had thought turn 1 would be drama but it wasn’t, for once. That first stint was really great, on slightly used reds, that pace. When Lewis went on the whites and I saw the rear traction issues out of turn 3 I knew it was in the bag. 14 wins, wow.

Not much can stop Max. By far the best driver on the grid by a decent margin.

Not sure of that's true. But the combination is currently the best by far.

I mean bias aside from myself, I dont think anyone else has been as good as Max these last 2 years when you look at the statistics over the course of the season.

honestly nobody went into the race thinking med would last that long with good lap times. everyone thought it was checkmate by merc but somehow the med just kept on going. its a 20/20 hindisght always but credit where its due, the risk paid off.

Not hindsight at all. The same tires were used last year and was an easy one stopper on the C3 and C4.

I agree, his stats have been just insane. But no one else on the grid other then Perez has had a competitive championship winning car over the whole 2 seasons. But I do want to make it clear that I'm not discounting his achievements, even Hamilton with this level of dominance and similar race calendar hasn't achieved this.

This year he has been untouchable. But as a driver, I dont think he is a decent distance in front of Hamilton or Leclerc.

But the combination of Red Bull and Max is by far better then Lewis and Merc and Charles and Ferrari.

The scary thing is RB haven't had a proper upgrade since Spa.

Merc had a 3 tenths upgrade in Austin and this track was Merc's best circuit.

If you're talking last 2 years, Hamilton had some pretty stand out performances towards the end of last season, Brazil being a highlight.

If you're talking just this season, Max + the RB18 has certainly been the best, that's undeniable. Leclerc bottled it pretty early on, and has basically given up from mid season.

Of course he’s not. When HAM had the car he had Max at arms length and won the last four races of the season, until masi intervened. All this stuff about being the best driver by some distance is nonsense. He’s good…bloody good, but not some kind of god.

Brazil from Lewis was a masterclass of a drive. I think Lewis had the best car for 2021 and Max had a outstanding drive given the statistics of that season but Lewis was awesome in the last few races with the super engine.

The RB18 and Max is just unstoppable. Teams are going to have a very busy winter to try get some of the performance in race pace. Id dare say the RB is being a good few tenths conservative on race pace too this season

on German TV, Toto Wolff just said that they considered to take the softs, but decided to go for the hards instead because Latifi was looking so strong on them

I have watched as much as possible every F1 show or session for many years, but now the interviews are so much a battle with the pointless blasting music noise, I find as soon as the race ends I shut down SKY. You would think that if the sound engineers can cope with the cars, they could manage the background noise, but I give up.
