Ricciardo today with that move on Yuki but it did show that a long yellow stint and then red was an option. Russell even specifically asked for it but was denied. That to me was kinda strange. He already took the yellows that far.

If I was a sponsor paying $500m over 4 years and if the team turned round and said no more interviews with Sky I wouldnt be bothered. Lets face it, you only really see a face and collar in the interviews so dont see much. The fact that its been SOOO widely reported about it, will probably pay more than 30seconds on the TV.

Interesting as Christian said with Will Buxton that 2 stops was never on the cards. He was a bit confused why they didnt go long with Russell and drop onto the soft.

Im sure it was RB that did a lot of laps in FP3 on the soft with a couple cooler laps inbetween so imagine they had some decent data how the soft was wearing.

Not sure of that's true. But the combination is currently the best by far.

Who's put a better drive together than Max this season?

I mean bias aside from myself, I dont think anyone else has been as good as Max these last 2 years when you look at the statistics over the course of the season.

You must have been sleeping last year! You would have lost a championship with a faster car had it not been for a genius called Masi…Hamilton managed races far better than Max who always drove erratically just to keep a position!

You could say Mercedes lost last year's finale with the same mistake as this race: Wrong tyre choice. Mercedes has shown that being conservative has gotten the better of them, or maybe it's a fault of being too sure of themselves. Whether it's the risk of track position or being on faster tires, Mercedes seems to just make the wrong call.
