If you have good enough eyes to see Max alongside, you'll also need to show when Max ever showed signs of actually navigating his car ROUND the corner.

His trajectory showed him likely just under steering right off the other side of the track.

There simply was not enough space for him to realistically make the corner at the angle and speed he was approaching the apex.

Thats why he was essentially still going straight at the apex when he SHOULD ha e been rotating the car.

Those that say that he wouldn’t have made the corner, well that’s complete codswallop. That corner can be taken side by side and he had some right to racing room. Optimistic maybe but I certainly agree with Martin Brundle on this. You can’t just expect the car on the inside to disappear
MV was never getting round that corner on the trajectory he was on, he seems to think he can dive bomb wherever he wants and expect everyone to make room, i'm delighted to see him come unstuck.

At first i thought it was a screwup from max, but in the replay he was alongside just fine. And with a bit more awareness from Hamilton, both cars could have made it through the corner just fine. Max would have made the corner if he had a functioning front wing, but well, someone just knocked that off.
It was a racing incident that Max could have avoided but Lewis should have avoided.

Max is behind through the braking zone. He got alongside too late, courtesy of dive bombing, like Monza in 2021. Hes gone in with so much speed, hes literally shoved Hamilton off track. if you are in control, you can contact another car without bumping them off track.

Stewards gave him a penalty anyway so I guess in max's words, Lewis did nothing wrong.

How was there any shoving off track when max was on the outside And made the corner still. No dive bombing at all
Those two cars going into t1 was a textbook dive bomb. The following car was behind the leading car with a good gap, but dive bombed ahead, off line and wide and the put their car in the way on the other car to block it.

It throws the car infront of the car that's ahead entering to corner, and if the lead car doesnt back out it causes a crash.

That's the only reason for the penalty

I fail to see what people are commenting here.

Max made the first left corner, nothing wrong with that. He was alongside Lewis (after being ahead in turn 1). But Lewis didn’t leave enough space on the inside.

Almost the same as the silverstone 21 incident if you exclude the left hander in Brazil.

Ruined the race which is a shame, pretty boring now, and big gaps

this one looks like Russels to lose, or they will do something very weird with the strategy again, doesn't look like Perez has anything on him

Having looked at his onboard I see absolutely no evidence that he wouldn’t have made that corner. You cannot possibly state that with any level of confidence. It’s just opinion your end.
But we shall all argue until the cows come home. For me it’s naive to think of a car on the outside of the corner to turn into the apex when you know it’s side by side, to effectively disappear in 1sec

look at the video. he bangs into Hamilton and barely stays within the white line. if he was in control and didn't need to use the other driver as a landing point.

same as Monza 2021.

strange these fans talk about their driver entitled to space when that driver is notorious for running people out of room :wtf:

Do you even try to take into account the trajectory and speed Max had into the right hander? Try it please. That is the exact reason he was penalized. Same as in Jeddah and Monza last year. Will be the same next time he does it, which he will since he never ever learns.

If you skip forward a few frames you will see Max 2/3 on the kerb whilst Lewis comes across for the apex. Why happened to leaving room on the inside?
