The Acura...
Where is the intercooler? Is the compressor feeding the engine directly? Or is there an intercooler inside that black bocks with the intake plenum? that rounded metallic plate looks suspicious to me... is that a rounded 'reaction engines' intercooler like Mercedes and Ferrari in F1?

The grid for the Daytona 24, Porsche right up to speed with the american teams(they are operated by Penske so it makes some sense).
BMW the slowest of the top class.

Cars have a fair gap to the P2s their chassis are based on.

Also this seems like the only tech tour missing so here it is.

I might start watching full season wec. IMSA maybe bits of Daytona, but it seems that it will be a proper year finally with so many manufacturers joining the circus

Good question
I've only recently become familiar with the reaction engine intercooler courtesy of a member here.
There appears to be a water line going in there adjacently. I ahve been skeptical of that technology becasue of size versus throughput and little pressure loss (no free lunches)

I can assure you that no one is running a turbo car without an intercooler.

So your suspicions are perhaps correct.

There is a note in the general Honda topic about how this would be the last racing engine produced by HPd and that they would throw every trick in the book at it.

You're both right IMO, and as johnny comelately pointed out there is a water hose connected to that circular thing...

Yeah, I'm super excited for WEC. There could be 14 cars in top fight between LMH and LMDH at LeMans. Thanx for all the updates and links to Youtube vids. I can't wait to watch the Daytona to see how those Porsches and Cadillacs.

The Accura again, installation time. Unfortunately the elephants are mentioned again (what pointless units!)
