They just posted this on their socials

So it's definitely still orange, but looks like the halo is a darker colour probably black

The man in charge of colors at McLaren doesn't seem to like pushing himself very much.

I second this if Honda has intentions of staying for 2026 and beyond why not bandage the wounds with McLaren and start over they say 3rd times a charm McLaren has a (potential) works deal, preferably it would be good for Honda to supply 2 teams so they can adapt quicker with the new regs

3rd times a charm would only work if it did not work the 1st time ;)

I’d say your crazy, except I guess if Honda really want to enter then there’s a 1-5 chance, and Honda will want to win again

The obvious choice would be they stick with AT… but RB will never ‘let’ them win a championship

Williams & Haas would be unlikely, if Honda want a chance of winning, also I doubt Haas would walk way from Ferrari, given their deep rooted partnership

So really thats 50/50 with McLaren & AM

I really can’t see an AM/Honda tie-up either, due to AM/Merc commercial relationship outside of F1

That just leaves… McLaren

I'm not so sure they would not go to Williams. Old Williams under Clair, fair enough, it was not on.
Now when it is run as an enterprise not a family business there is a lot going on for Honda to look at.

If they decide to 'just' do engines, the team that have worked with RBR and AT could go there, and possibly bring along selected people from the teams they have 'learned with', otherwise they could maybe buy into the existing structure which would greatly increase the value of the holding, which is what they are there for.

I don't suppose it matters to to the holding company what the team is actually called, as long as it has more value.
The team owners could even step back and allow Honda to make it a works team, as long as their name was associated with it and they had earnings from it, and Honda could cut a deal that if they decide ins (say)5 years it has not worked out, they are repaid a set % of value and Honda go home and Williams continue as now

Earlier on Friday, Ford announced that it would re-enter F1 in 2026, when new technical regulations come into play.

It was heavily anticipated that the US automotive giant would join forces with Red Bull, a tie-up that has now been made official.

The deal will see Red Bull Ford power the Red Bull and AlphaTauri F1 teams with power units from 2026 until at least 2030.

it makes the most sense I don’t see Honda going with any other team expect maybe Williams the only other way Honda stays in the sport is by starting a factory team

Red Bull with Ford? Ford hasnt made a good F1 Engine since the late 70s. The always lagged behind every other engine on the grid. Not sure whats gonna happen in 2026 but why leave Honda behind and go to someone uncertain? On the other hand since Honda solved all these problems and Mclaren is a changed team they could partner up as a works team and reap all the benefits.

I fully agree with the feeling of ford not being a good partner, but it is not going to be a ford engine (apparently) it will be Red Bull's own engine and funded by Ford just to show the name, or same as the Cosworth DFV days.
Called a Ford, but actually designed and built by Cosworth. I would be far more comfortable with this than with Ford saying 'we will build you an engine and you put it in' because we all remember Stewart.
