Williams FW31

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I think your looking at the wrong arms ;-)!

You can see the pushrod and rocker arm, and 3rd spring arangment :)

edit - another look at the picture. Above the airbox, is that secondary channel for the gearbox cooling? Looks like a nice arrangment, clean. I always had wondered about the airbox shape these days. How crucial is it to get equal pressure across the intake valves?

As funny as it's sad, only five years ago, no way in the world Frank would have had the word "HELL" written on his car.

It's about 35kg's at present...and that's why it's not being used. It's too heavy to not adversely affect the handling.

Have to say it looks pretty bulky and difficult to install...

No change for Williams' diffuser, seems ages ago since they last updated it.

I absolutely love how you can see all the mechanical guts hanging out the back of the Williams!
Best regards. I guess this explains why I'm not at my post!

That's been there the whole year, but it looks like they've modified it; the outer edges now slope downward while at the beginning of the year it was level.
Best regards. I guess this explains why I'm not at my post!
