Call me crazy, but I think that car in the video has an RB18 bodyshell. The new car will be completely different.
It really looks just like the 2022 car. Nothing is different apart from front wing.
What's going on with the leading edge shape?
I believe that's just glare from ambient light. The leading edge is straight across.organic wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 05:29What's going on with the leading edge shape?

Possible tubercles ?
I edited the photo and I don't think it's the glare..AR3-GP wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 05:45I believe that's just glare from ambient light. The leading edge is straight across.organic wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 05:29What's going on with the leading edge shape?

Play around with the highlights, white point etc the bit that would be glare if the leading edge goes straight across never changes relative to the background wall..
It probably is glare but would be cool if it isn't

glare in yellow, leading edge in red. The leading edge step might even be an artifact of the low resolution.

It's just come to my attention that the author of the original photo also highlighted what you suggested in purple. There could be more to it.organic wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 06:02AR3-GP wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 05:53This is my take on the potato photo:organic wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 05:47

Fair enough. For me the geometry of the current rear wings wouldn't allow all of the yellow section you've highlighted to have lots of glare given we can see how the light is falling on the rest of the wing
Here's a similar angle of the RB18 rear wing

Really? Do you have the image that they posted with their purple highlight ?AR3-GP wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 06:06It's just come to my attention that the author of the original photo also highlighted what you suggested in purple. I've been asking myself why there are better photos of bigfoot than the RB19, if it was just going to be a lazy copy of the RB18. So maybe there's more than meets the eye.
Nevermind I got confused. I thought you drew the green highlight and the author purple but it looks like you did bothorganic wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 06:08Really? I'm expecting RB to have a Mercedes mid-wing and this wild rear wing at this stage
Indeed hahaha all meAR3-GP wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 06:32Nevermind I got confused. I think that the RB18 did the same mid-wing ‘trick’ with their lower forward protruding inlet edge, they just controlled the the outcome in a much better way. I would expect the RB19 to take this further (maybe raising the height a little and bringing the upper lip further back - much like we saw in the previous regulation set towards the end). The similarities are even more apparent in the launch-spec W14.
