The rumour from the camp of common sense is that no one knows how they compare to anyone else, if they have baked in any errors into the car or if the correlation really did work!
Well, given where we ended last year, your point of view is more of a glass completely full and spilling instead of half-fullMacklaren wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 20:33That's a valid glass-half-empty view. The glass-half-full view is that the rumors from the Merc camp are that the car is in serious trouble so we could be in with a shot at P3 if Oscar can be competitive. WHO KNOWS?!Emag wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 19:52Rumors from the AMR camp are placing that car in a very competitive position in terms of pecking order predictions.
This is coming from a team which probably invented the word bullish though, so remains to be seen how that will translate.
If there will be a battle for 4th, so far it seems like Alpine and AM will be the main competitors at this point, so we are getting 2020 flashbacks I guess.
Since Lawrence Stroll took over Force India, every season starts with same high expectations. Granted, they've got a guy who knows a lot about producing fast cars, but will that be enough? Without the declarations of AMR, McLaren would have sounded measured, but instead, they're "downbeat". We'll see in a few days, but I'm more inclined to believe that it'll be close. I can't see anyone being so far ahead of the leading midfield.Emag wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 19:52Rumors from the AMR camp are placing that car in a very competitive position in terms of pecking order predictions.

Yes, sorry if I wasn't clear.CjC wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 22:05‘That car’ as in the Aston Martin?Emag wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 19:52Rumors from the AMR camp are placing that car in a very competitive position in terms of pecking order predictions.

Not something that will be answered today (or at all during testing) I’m afraid
Yes, it was on track before the red flag
