My point was that last year's problem was a design flaw which they rectified so it's unlikely they've repeated the same mistake, organic wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 16:31"pretty quickly"McFAN wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 16:30Very unlikely to be the same issue,FittingMechanics wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 16:23It sure looks like the same issue from last year. Frantic looking mechanic with a screwdriver and aluminum foil trying to jury rig a solution.
From what I could see, they are working around the brake ducts. Maybe the heat is damaging parts around?
They resolved the problem pretty quickly and they were fine for the rest of the season.
The problems with their front brake ducts put them on the back foot for their development for the entire season
Agreed. This is unacceptable.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 16:24I'm quite surprised so many people here are trying to downplay this.
I could accept making a mistake one year. But having it repeat next year is really really amateurish. Hopefully they can make a fix over night and continue with the programme.
Downplaying it? Don't see anyone downplaying it. People don't need to be frothing mad over it. IFittingMechanics wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 16:24I'm quite surprised so many people here are trying to downplay this.

What is the issue, precisely, and what should they have done to prevent it?Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 16:56It is unacceptable by the fact that these people are working with the best technology one has to offer and also getting paid better wages than anyone of us to be top in a team that targets the top.

Nobody on here is 100% certain what the problem is, "but it should never happen", because it doesn't happen to Tony Stark. Sometimes this place us worse than football twitter.
