This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
Considering Bahrain is one of McLarens worst tracks and a decent race pace, I’m not too unhappy, would Q3 be nice, sure, but it sure beats P19&20 as everyone here was predicting
Besides Haas (Hulk is putting some impressive laps!)… Lando is ahead of both Williams, Alpha Tauri’s and Alfa Romeo’s… Ahead of one of the Alpine’s and one of the Haas… Definition of been in the midfield and in that fight… Not the 8-9th team, definitely not the 4th.
Some here should stop posting if all they do is trash talking Mclaren. We know that the team did not start where they should be but the sky is not falling.

Well. Aston Martin has gone straight up to the big three if anyone else agrees. The team has to sit down and make that B-Car as quick as it's possible and even more. When it comes at Baku it has to deliver 5 tenths of extra lap time at worst otherwise it's gonna be a hard year.
On another note Saudi Arabi and Australia will be a completely different thing as these races don't punish Mclaren's weaknesses and help more in their strengths.

Say what you will, while Alpine went around saying this is the closet they will get to the top 3 and with all the hype around them, a complete contradiction to what was coming out of McLaren, we were pretty close in performance in this session, I hope this speaks to the teams ambition of what’s to come.

Not as bad as some said, not as good as some hoped. But sort of expected for the realistic.

Don't think AM are big 3 challenge yet. Expect them to be 4th. Mercedes will get them at some point.
