I doubt there’ll be any rain at all. If anything, a spotty shower passing quickly. The wind will be an issue though.

Can't remember when I last saw rain tires. We see inters more often. Wasn't there talk of a new Pirelli rain tire for this year?

The problem of grip is less concerning at this point for drivers. It's an issue, but not the primary one. The main issue for drivers is the spray and lack of visibility. FIA is planning to introduce rear wheel covers to addres this. Not sure when would that come.

There is a new wet tyre developed over the winter with Ferrari and AT that should offer better performance and better warmup according to Isola

Of course this does nothing for the problem of spray which is why we don't run in the very wet conditions nowadays

Few years ago, I think in Spain, someone went into graver and race director thrown red flag immediately. Driver managed to escape from gravel and everyone complained why they showed red flag immediately. Now people complain why didn't show it immediately. Fans will always complain. I think this was right decision.

There will be no rains as per hourly weather forecasts, but strong winds upto 29 Kmph/ 18 mph expected throughout the race.

Wind was a complaint for Jeddah wasn't it? Has it ever been the direct cause of a crash?

Not exactly, but both Sainz and Verstappen went off into the gravel trap in Spain last year.

I (think) I saw something very interesting when Perez crossed the pitlane line.
Go on....
Are we sure he crossed it? Can we see a longitudinal projection of the side wall of the tire against the white line to be absolutely certain that it was crossed entirely and not just partly?
No sorry I did not deliberate further, I had not time when I made the post.

I think I saw the rear tyres camber change dramatically following Checo's sharp turn. I'm not quite sure whether that was a digital artifact at the moment, but I'm quite sure it crossed my mind. If we have some footage I would be able to pinpoint to that moment.
