They did the right thing with Piastri and look how that improved his race- he beat Leclerc who was miles ahead of him on the inter running!
Lando wasn’t in the points when the switches were being made to slicks so it’s not like it was massive gamble. If he was P4 then staying out was the right thing but he wasn’t.
Maybe it was close I don't know, but he gained 2 positions by staying out and it wasn't cut and dry that he would keep them by staying out.CjC wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023, 18:10Leclerc used a Mediummwillems wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023, 17:54Leclerc pitted and finished 12s behind us. He was competitive compared to Leclerc.101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023, 18:53Lando saying the tyre deg is still pretty shocking compared to others. Hopefully once we go to a more normal track with a fuller package and more understanding, they can dial some of it out.
First lap jostling on a wet track with cold-ish tyres. Lando went into anti-stall. Unlucky. It is what it is. I really do hope though that the tyre deg isn’t as bad as NOR says it is. Typically he’s been hypercritical which is a good sign generally as he wants the best and to be the best. But sometimes that moves into overstatingDarth-Piekus wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023, 19:38Do you think Verstappen reacted correctly on that turn where he closed Lando? On another note I cant wait for the rest of the upgrade to be installed and refined. Mika Hakkinen might be on to something.
I only directly quoted Lando. You may take it up with himAR3-GP wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023, 19:00He was competitive compared to Leclerc.101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑01 Jul 2023, 18:53Lando saying the tyre deg is still pretty shocking compared to others.
